About Me

Adventure            Curiousity              Service

Curiosity is one of my strongest character traits, which is what fuels my passion for engineering and geology. As a student at James Madison University, I am encouraged to explore my academic interests and develop a diverse skill set. Currently, I am able to harness my curiosity by developing a capstone project that combines technical skill sets from both engineering and geology. Click here to see the progress of the project.

Growing up in a small rural town did not prohibit me from meeting diverse people or from traveling to many places. I have been to Maine, Florida, Washington, Wyoming, California, Belize and many more places. Seeing so many different landscapes in the United States is what helped develop my passion for geology.

With these two passions, I hope to be a part of an industry that has more meaning than just profits or regulations. I want to educate myself so I am able to impact the world through the engineering and scientific communities. With having creative confidence and a human-centered design approach, I know these goals will be possible.

Adventurous

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do.  I learn and retain a lot more information when I can go, do, and see.  I believe exploring the world around us and being in awe of it's many wonders is one of the greatest blessings you can have.

Curiousity

My curiosity about the world is how I discovered my Passion for Engineering and Geology.  Curiosity is what helps me maintain a growth mindset. I am devoted to learning more through every situation I go through, success or failure.

Service

My parents raised me to be giving, generous, and loving to others.  These traits are embedded in my personality to this day. I love being a part of my community and positively impacting it in anyway I can. Serving others helps me maintain a humble character.
